FDA Compliance Guide for Small Entities

On May 18, the FDA sent out an update for small entity business on the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Food Traceability Rule.

The notice said:

Today, the FDA published a Small Entity Compliance Guide for the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Food Traceability Rule. The compliance guide describes the requirements of the Food Traceability regulation to assist small entities, including farms and small businesses, in complying with the applicable recordkeeping requirements. 

The FSMA Food Traceability Rule was issued in November 2022 and the compliance date for recordkeeping requirements is Jan. 20, 2026.
