Annual College Scholarship Awards

Each year, PAFP sponsors three scholarship awards. Two of these scholarships are awarded through the Pennsylvania State University and one is awarded directly through PAFP. Scholarships are awarded to students each fall.

For most of its history, there were three scholarships awarded annually. The Walter S. Anderson Memorial Scholarship dates from 1945; the Edwin Wagner Memorial Scholarship from 1993 and the Patrick Campbell Memorial Scholarship (formerly Sanitarians Scholarship) from the mid 1950’s. Dr Lamartine F. Hood, former Dean, Pennsylvania State University, College of Agriculture, received the Walter Anderson Scholarship in his early student days at Penn State University.

The Patrick Campbell Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to the family member of a PAFP individual or corporate member. This includes employees at companies that are sustaining members. The member has to be in good standing for three years. The student has to be enrolled as a full time student at any college or university. Historically the amount awards to each scholar is between $500 to $1,000.
