Regulatory & Industry Liaison Committee
Committee Mission Statement
To promote food safety and hygiene through fostering a close working relationship between Regulators and Industry. This committee will work to strengthen food safety practices in the Pennsylvania food industry.
Responsibility
The President-Elect shall chair this committee.
Frequency
2 meetings are held annually. Once in the fall and one in the spring before any NCIMS or PAFP meetings.
Current Tasks
Meet regularly with industry and regulators (PDA, USDA, FDA, etc.) with a diverse group to discuss current and future issues, guidance and regulations.
Function as the regional voice for updates submitted to the National Conference on Interstate Milk Shipments (NCIMS).
*This committee will serve 2 year terms and may serve multiple terms if approved by the executive board.
